Independence ky Wedding

Independence is a city in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 14,982 at the 2000 census. It is one of two county seats of Kenton County [1]. In 1842 the county of Campbell was split to form a new county, Kenton, named after a pioneer who'd helped explore the territory, Simon Kenton. The city of Independence was incorporated in 1842 to mark its independence from Campbell County.

The racial makeup of the city was 97.20% White, 0.96% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.40% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.36% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.15% of the population.
